How You Can Make One For You?
You can make your own lemongrass soap by using natural ingredients at your home.
With a simple recipe by following the cold process soap can be quick, however, it would take around four weeks to get the bars in use.
To make your natural homemade lemongrass soap, you need the following ingredients.
- 800g Batch ( 1.76 lbs) oil weight
- Lye water ( 109 g / 3.8 0z)
- Water ( 196 g / 7 oz)
- Coconut oil ( 200 g / 70z)
- Shea butter ( 150 g / 5 oz)
- Olive oil ( 400 g / 14 oz)
- Castor oil ( 50 g / 1.76 oz)
- Chromium green oxide ( 1/16 tsp)
- Yellow Iron oxide ( 1 /16 tsp)
- Grapefruit seed extract ( 8 drops)
- Lemongrass essential oil ( 4 tsp)
Step 1: Start with measuring all of your ingredients and set up your workspace. Make sure you have the gloves on, googles all safety precautions.
Step 2: Get the olive oil and pour a tablespoon of it into the glass mix it with mineral powder and blend the milk frother. Make sure it gets nicely mix and set it aside.
Step 3: Now follow the next step with precaution, pour sodium hydroxide or lye into the water. And keep it to ventilate space. Use a stainless spoon and mix until you don’t see crystals.
Step 4: Make sure you are keeping your face away as it gets heated and there will be steam. Now keep the hot lye and prepare a basin to keep it cool.
Step 5: Use the solid oils and heat them on very low until you see solid bits floating. Now keep the pan off and stir until all the oils get melted.
Step 6: Now pour your liquid oil and after that color oil by using a sieve.
Step 7: The temperature of both oils ( 100-120°F, ) in pan and lye solution ( less than 120°F). When the temperature right, add the lye solution with the help of using a sieve to the pan.
Step 8: To keep it thick, use a sticker blender and push it alternatively. Make sure you get the trace, use the method of pushing and stirring. Make sure the blender head is on the bottom of your pan so you can avoid splattering and air.
Step 9: Measure your extract as well as an essential oil for adding into the soap. To make sure it doesn’t look bad, stir well.
Step 10: Now slide the mold and put it in a cardboard box. Close it nicely and use the towel to cover it as well as keeping the heat in.
Step 11: Once 24 hours is up, pop the soap out of a mold, and use a kitchen knife for doing that. Leave it in someone airy but not direct to sunlight. Keep it there for the next four weeks.
Once the weeks are done, your soap is ready for use. To make sure you are keeping the scent, use the sealed tube after the curing time is done.
